Official: Venezia sack Stroppa after six straight defeats

Serie A strugglers Venezia have sacked coach Giovanni Stroppa after six straight league defeats. Venezia confirmed Stroppa’s sacking Tuesday morning, hours after a 3-1 away defeat to Atalanta. “Venezia FC announces that Giovanni Stroppa has been relieved of his duties as Head Coach of the First Team,” the club said in a statement. “Under his leadership, the Club secured promotion to Serie A in the 2025/26 season, finishing a Serie BKT campaign in which it played a leading role.
