Oklahoma determined to avoid post-Texas hangover

The Oklahoma Sooners knocked off the Texas Longhorns for the first time since 2023, and the second time in Brent Venables' tenure. Now, the Sooners hope to avoid a post-Texas letdown like the one they had in 2023. That season Oklahoma improved to 6-0 with the win over Texas. The Sooners had the College Football Playoff and a final Big 12 championship in sight. However, they would narrowly beat the UCF Knights the next game, 31-29.
