Patrick Kane’s teammates react to upper-body injury after Blackhawks loss to Avalanche

The Chicago Blackhawks are struggling mightily to start the 2026-27 NHL season, and things are going to get even more difficult without one of their most productive forwards. Patrick Kane, who is second in team scoring with nine points in 15 games and leads the club with eight assists, left a 5-2 loss to the Colorado Avalanche on Monday night with an upper-body injury. Head coach Jeff Blashill told reporters that the three-time Stanley Cup champion is “going to miss the next couple of games , for sure,” per NHL.com’s Tracey Myers.
