Pele Labelled 'Spectacular' 1-Time Ballon d'Or Winner a 'Better' Player Than Lionel Messi

To many, Lionel Messi is the greatest player of all time . Some of football's biggest names regard him as the best ever. Gary Lineker and Wayne Rooney are just two stars who believe he's the greatest footballer in history. Not everyone shares that opinion, though. Some believe Cristiano Ronaldo is better than Messi, while others argue that legends such as Diego Maradona and Pele should rank higher on the GOAT list. The latter is one example of a former footballer who doesn't consider Messi the greatest player of all time.
