Police forced to intervene as fans clash minutes after Liverpool vs Man City in chaotic scenes

Police needed to quell tensions between Liverpool and Manchester City supporters after their Premier League clash. Goals from Erling Haaland, Jeremy Doku and Rayan Cherki handed a 3-0 win to City at Anfield on Sunday afternoon. The match was highly charged before kick-off after an independent commission ruled that City are guilty on all counts of financial rule breaches in the Premier League from the 2009/10 season to 2017/18. An appeal has been lodged by the club, who claim they are innocent and have a ‘comprehensive body of irrefutable evidence’ to hand.
