Qatar’s Moto GP round hit by first team withdrawal due to Iran war | Formula 1

A Moto GP manufacturer has confirmed it will not participate in next week’s round in Qatar. Yamaha has already imposed restrictions on its company members visiting Qatar due to the dangers in the region arising from the ongoing war between Iran and the USA. With less than a week to go until Moto GP’s event begins at the track, Yamaha has confirmed it will not participate in the event. “Following its latest assessment of the situation in the Middle East, Yamaha has not identified sufficient grounds to change its existing company-wide travel restrictions,” it said.
