Rams’ replacement for ‘The Thiccer Kicker’ has fans weighing in after MNF debacle

The Los Angeles Rams parted ways with kicker Harrison Mevis on Tuesday, one day after he missed two field goals in the Rams’ overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football. Mevis has one of the funniest nicknames in football: “The Thiccer Kicker,” which is a reference to Mevis being larger than a prototypical kicker in the NFL. Along with this news of Mevis’ release came word of his replacement: Blake Grupe, the former New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts kicker who was on the New York Jets’ practice squad.
