Rangers’ Alexis Lafreniere continues surging start to season, jumping into league-lead in goals

The former top overall pick continued his spectacular start to the season, putting home two of the Rangers' four goals as they beat the Lightning to remain perfect on home ice . The first of those came just over a minute into the game, as Kartye was relentless on the forecheck, before finding a cutting Lafreniere in front of the net for a one-time feed. Those two connected again midway though the frame, this time on a beautiful backhand alley-oop feed that sprung Lafreniere free into the offensive zone, beating Andrei Vasilevskiy with a wrister.
