Real Madrid legend Dani Carvajal lands new club despite LaLiga complications

Dani Carvajal has joined Getafe on a free transfer despite the deal facing various financial issues. The right-back was available as a free agent having left Real Madrid in May after a trophy-laden 13-year stint with the club. The 34-year-old’s arrival at Getafe has been heavily speculated, with the club’s president Angel Torres confirming the club were working on a deal. The Spain international has signed a one-year deal and also agreed to a significant wage cut to ensure himself and his family don’t have to relocate away from Madrid.
