The Washington Commanders faced plenty of criticism after their cataclysmic clock management at the end of overtime in Sunday’s game against the New York Giants turned what looked like a near-sure victory into a tie . For those that missed it as it happened, the Commanders had the ball with a minute to play and well within field goal range. In most cases, teams would drain the clock, spike the ball with a few seconds left, and send out the field goal unit to win the game.
