Sean Dyche rules out return to under-fire club after poor start to 2026/27 season

Sean Dyche has emphatically shut down talk of a possible return to Watford. The Hornets’ revolving door for managers looks set to spin once more following a 4-0 loss to Burnley on Saturday. It marked the club’s third straight defeat and left them hovering just one point above the Championship relegation zone. Such was the nature of Watford’s performance, former owner Elton John weighed in on social media to express he was ‘very upset and disappointed at the decline’ in recent weeks. The result has also heaped pressure on embattled boss Alessio Dionisi, who was appointed in the summer.
