Second-half scoring burst steers Kilmessan to glory

Kilmessan have extended their lead at the head of the Meath SHC roll of honour to 30 titles, coming good with a second-half burst of scoring to clinch their first county crown in 13 years. In what was a novel campaign, with a new SHC structure and a final played in Trim for the first time since 2006, Charlie Keena's side seized the opportunity to etch their names on the Jubilee Cup again. The win will feel all the sweeter given that opponents Kiltale are neighbours and located just a couple of miles down the road.
