Sporting in staggering 51-year Champions League first that Arsenal failed to achieve twice

Sporting CP became the first team to win and keep a clean sheet in a European tie away at Lens in 51 years. The Portuguese giants produced a solid display to see off the Ligue 1 side 2-0 at the atmospheric Stade Bollaert-Delelis. Goals from Luis Suarez and Issa Doumbia ensured Sporting continued their 100 per cent start to their Champions League campaign. But there was further cheer for Rui Borges side who inflicted a first European home win on Lens with a clean sheet in a whopping 51 years and 48 games.
