Sumrall apologizes after Florida's ugly loss to Georgia

Jon Sumrall didn't offer excuses for Florida's performance against Georgia. Instead, the Gators' first-year coach apologized to the fans and promised to address the problems that contributed to Saturday's 27-8 rivalry loss in Atlanta. Florida committed four turnovers, surrendered 17 points off those mistakes and struggled to protect either quarterback(s) against the Bulldogs. Sumrall explained why Aaron Philo received the start over Tramell Jones Jr., revealing that Jones has been dealing with an injury that could require surgery after the season. He also left open the possibility of another change at quarterback next week.
