Where Greater Lansing football teams stand in playoff chase entering Week 8

The East Lansing football team used a late-season push to reach the Michigan High School Athletic Association football playoffs a year ago despite ending the regular season with a losing record. East Lansing is ranked No. 33 in Division 2 in playoff points and as the first team just outside the postseason field with two weeks left in the regular season. With wins over Waverly and Everett in the final two weeks, the Trojans could find themselves back in the playoffs. Greater Lansing has 17 teams currently in position to make the playoffs entering Week 8.
