Why Michael Carrick has changed his Manchester United midfield vs Atletico Madrid

Michael Carrick has changed Manchester United's midfield to face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League because he believes the team has been "a little bit open" in some matches this season. United lost the midfield battle against Tottenham last weekend. Carrick stuck by Youri Tielemans , Kobbie Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes, but that trio struggled against an energetic Spurs side. Carrick has tweaked the midfield to face Atletico on Tuesday night, giving starts to Carlos Baleba and Andrey Santos, moving Tielemans into the No.10 role.
