Women's divisional rankings: Watpool cracks middleweight top 5 with KO win

Melinda Watpool defeated Maria Dolores Hernandez Garcia in her middleweight debut in the main event of a boxing card in Brampton, Canada, on Saturday. Watpool, who moved down from super middleweight, dropped Hernandez Garcia in Round 2 before forcing referee Floyd Porter to stop the fight at 23 seconds of Round 3. It was Watpool's second consecutive stoppage victory since losing a split decision to Shadasia Green in November 2024 while challenging for the WBO super middleweight title. Rankings are updated every Tuesday. They're based on recent bouts, head-to-head competition and the quality of opponent.
