Yankees Could Replace Grisham Without Blocking Jones

The New York Yankees could change their outfield this offseason without taking an everyday opportunity away from Spencer Jones. One option is to add Tyrone Taylor in a complementary role. If Trent Grisham leaves in free agency, New York would need to consider more than who starts in center field. The club would also need coverage when Jones rests and alternatives against certain pitchers. Randy Miller suggested Taylor in an October 10 NJ.com column. The proposal offers a different path from pursuing another established everyday outfielder. Taylor finished 2026 with the Cubs following an August 3 trade from the Mets.
