Yankees make major change to front office with final decisions for ex-Mets, Giants GMs

The New York Yankees are making changes to their front office, with two experienced baseball executives set to leave the organization. The Bronx Bombers will not renew the contracts of special assistants Omar Minaya and Brian Sabean for the 2027 season, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post. Both executives worked alongside general manager Brian Cashman after joining the organization before the 2023 season. Their departures come shortly after the club confirmed that Cashman would remain in his position under a new contract for the 2027 campaign.
