Spain’s Directorate General for Gambling Regulation (DGOJ) has introduced a single deposit cap that follows each player across every licensed online operator, set by default at €700 a day, €1,750 a week and €3,300 over four weeks. The system is being tested now and becomes binding on 26 March 2027. Spain’s consumer affairs ministry, which oversees the DGOJ, launched the cap last Wednesday and switched on a Player Portal at the same time, the regulator’s release dated 21 October shows. iGaming Business reported the rollout on 23 October.
