Army Mule’s Lamirada Romps in Glorious Song

Although she faded in the stretch after setting the pace in the Sept. 12 GI Natalma Stakes on the grass, the public remembered Lamirada (f, 2, Army Mule –Sister Nova, by Verrazano)'s maiden special weight tour de force going six furlongs on the all-weather surface Aug. 8 when she left the field 11 3/4 lengths in her wake. The public made Lamirada the 3-5 pick Sunday in the seven-furlong Glorious Song Stakes and she rewarded her backers with a performance reminiscent of her debut.
