Chelsea suffer fresh blow as full extent of Maxence Lacroix injury revealed

Maxence Lacroix is likely to miss the rest of 2026 for Chelsea due to a hamstring tear, talkSPORT understands. The centre-back was substituted during their midweek Carabao Cup defeat to Liverpool as he pulled up when running back to defend. Those close to Lacroix have told talkSPORT he has picked up a grade three tear, which is severe. It is now feared that he will not play for the Blues again this year. Lacroix’s road to recovery is still being determined, although there is concern that he could be sidelined for up to ten weeks.
