Christian McCaffrey returned to practice as limited participant

The 49ers running back has not practiced on a Wednesday since Week 1, but the difference this week was a hamstring injury kept him out of practice. The previous six Wednesdays he missed were for load management. McCaffrey was diagnosed with a mild hamstring strain after the Week 7 loss to the Falcons. The 49ers are coming off their bye week. Wide receiver Mike Evans (ribs/Achilles), wide receiver Deebo Samuel (hamstring) and safety Siran Neal (knee/foot) remained out of practice a second consecutive day.
