Coach Kovac extends contract with Dortmund until 2029

Coach Niko Kovac has extended his contract with Borussia Dortmund until June 30, 2029, the Bundesliga club said in a statement on Tuesday. "Together, we've set a clear course for development and laid important foundations for the future. We want to build on that. We have a clear vision of how we play football, how we perform as a team, and what it takes to achieve our goals," Kovac said. The Croatian was signed in 2025 when the team was 11th in the Bundesliga and led them to the Champions League qualification at the end of the season.
