However, amid the scrutiny surrounding Norvell, he has made headlines for dismissing cornerback Chuck Kennon, the highest-rated recruit in Florida State’s 2026 signing class, from the Seminoles’ program. Matt LaSerre of On3 reported that Kennon had been dismissed because of conduct deemed detrimental to the team. “The highest-rated recruit from Florida State’s 2026 signing class, cornerback Chuck Kennon, is no longer with the Seminoles’ program,” the report read.
