Florida State President Reveals How Fans Influenced Mike Norvell’s Firing

The Florida State Seminoles heard the frustration from their fans, and university President Richard McCullough made clear that those voices reached the people making decisions. Following Mike Norvell’s firing, McCullough acknowledged that fan feedback and social media were among the sources he considered. McCullough described a program whose results and direction no longer met expectations. The feedback mattered, but his assessment of the football team remained central to the decision.
