Former Browns QB Bernie Kosar bestowed unique honor in Cleveland

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar is being honored in a special way on October 13. The city of Cleveland has decreed October 13 as Bernie Kosar Day in Cleveland. The date is no coincidence. It marks the 41st anniversary of Kosar's first NFL regular season start as the Browns quarterback on October 13,1985. Kosar led the Browns to a win over the Houston Oilers 21-6. Selected in the 1985 NFL Supplemental Draft, Kosar's Browns career lasted nine seasons and included three AFC Championship game appearances. Kosar, 62, is an Ohio native.
