Former Panthers kicker to be dropped by Rams after rough start in 2026

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Los Angeles Rams are set to part ways with kicker Harrison Mevis. The 24-year-old began his NFL journey with the Carolina Panthers back in 2024. Mevis, a Warsaw, Ind. native, built up a decorated four-year run at the University of Missouri before cracking into the pros. He was a freshman All-American in 2020, a first-team All-American and first-team SEC selection in 2021 and a second-team SEC selection in 2023. Carolina signed Mevis as an undrafted free agent in July of 2024.
