Scoot Henderson’s Strong Preseason Gives Trail Blazers a New Rotation Question

Scoot Henderson entered the preseason with something to prove, and his latest performance has given the Portland Trail Blazers another reason to rethink his role. The former No. 3 overall pick started alongside Damian Lillard against Sacramento on Tuesday, handed out four assists and looked comfortable contributing without controlling every possession. Portland won 110-98 , but Henderson’s most important contribution may have been showing coach Micah Nori that he can fit into a crowded backcourt. The Trail Blazers have plenty of established guards, and Henderson’s future has already become a talking point with his rookie contract nearing its end.
