Giants, Commanders most to blame for ugly ending as both choked away chances to win

Some NFL games leave fans buzzing about spectacular plays. Others leave everyone wondering how professional football teams managed to make so many mistakes in such a short span. The New York Giants and Washington Commanders delivered the latter in a chaotic Week 5 showdown that somehow ended without a winner . New York rallied from a two-touchdown fourth-quarter deficit, only to waste multiple opportunities to finish the job in overtime. Washington then had its own chance to steal the game. That was before a stunning clock-management blunder erased its opportunity for a walk-off field goal.
