Ken Friar dead at 92: Arsenal life president who helped mastermind Emirates Stadium move dies

Friar worked for the club for 70 years and became their life president in 2020 after retiring from his executive responsibilities. His first role was with the club’s box office in 1950, before he was appointed Arsenal’s secretary in 1973. Friar’s greatest legacy is the part he played in the Gunners’ move from Highbury to Emirates Stadium at the turn of the century.
