Newcastle United hope for double derby delight as opportunity knocks for Sunderland

Durham host Newcastle United's women's team for the second time this season, but this time at the Wolf Competitions stadium in South Shields as they do battle in the Subway Players Cup. Both teams have yet to earn a point in this Champions' League-like competition but with this game, and two to follow, they will be hoping to lift themselves out of the bottom two places Group A, where they currently find themselves in. Newcastle lost their 100 per cent record in the League last weekend, having to fight back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with Nottingham Forest.
