Nicky Butt comes clean on private Michael Carrick job claim that upset Man Utd

Former Manchester United star Nicky Butt has clarified comments made about Michael Carrick not wanting to return to management before taking the United job. Carrick took temporary charge of United in January following the dismissal of Ruben Amorim. He led the club back to a third-place finish and Champions League qualification. That saw him earn the job on a permanent basis in the summer. But things have not gone how the club, or Carrick, would have hoped this season.
