A Welsh rugby club has paid tribute to its "much-loved" youth coach after he died suddenly on Sunday. Risca RFC announced the death of dad-of-three David 'Dai' Tovey, saying those at the club "cannot express the shock and sadness" they are feeling. Dai, who is understood to have been in his early 40s, was an incredibly popular figure within grassroots rugby in Newport and Caerphilly , with a number of clubs where he had been involved as a player and coach over the years also paying tribute. He has been remembered as a "true rugby man" and "absolute gentleman".
