Rams Make Drastic Kicker Change After Crushing Loss to Bills

After losing to the Buffalo Bills by just three points, the Los Angeles Rams waived kicker Harrison Mevis and claimed kicker Blake Grupe off waivers from the New York Jets. Mevis, 24, had two field goal attempts during the Rams' 37-34 loss, missing a 50-yarder in the first quarter before the Bills blocked his game-winning attempt in overtime. He went a perfect 4-for-4 on PATs. "The kicking game, especially with our PAT, field goal, not even close to good enough," McVay said .
