Rockets Exercise $14M Option For 27-28 On Reed Sheppard

The Houston Rockets have exercised their $14.0 million fourth-year option for the 2027-28 season on Reed Sheppard. The Rockets selected Sheppard with the third overall pick in the 2024 NBA draft. Sheppard has appeared in four games this season with the Rockets, averaging 10.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 23.3 minutes. Sheppard is a career 37.9 percent three-point shooter but is shooting 28.1 percent to begin his third NBA season. Last season, Sheppard averaged 13.5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists in 26.2 minutes across all 82 games. Sheppard started 21 games for the Rockets.
