Saracens player stood down with immediate after as investigation launched

A Saracens academy rugby player has been stood down following an off-field incident on Saturday. The Gallagher Prem club confirmed on Monday in a statement that an investigation had been launched, with the player in question removed from club duties with immediate effect. They added that they will not make any further comment until the end of the investigation. "Saracens is aware of an incident involving a member of the Men’s Senior Academy in St Albans on the evening of Saturday 10 October," read the statement.
