Texas Tech’s Joey McGuire makes last-minute QB change for Arizona clash

The Texas Tech football team is trying to bounce back on Saturday against Arizona, after a disappointing loss to Cincinnati. Texas Tech head coach Joey McGuire is making a change at starting quarterback for the game. “It will be Thomas Castellanos starting today at quarterback for Texas Tech, per ESPN sources,” Pete Thamel posted to X, formerly Twitter. McGuire had been thinking of making this change heading into Saturday. “No. 13 Texas Tech has been considering a change to Thomas Castellanos at QB, possibly as soon as today against No. 22 Arizona,” CBS Sports reporter Matt Zenitz posted to X.
