Venezia fires coach Giovanni Stroppa after 6 straight Serie A losses and 0 points

Stroppa was appointed as Venezia coach in June 2025 and the 58-year-old led the team to promotion to the top flight as Serie B champion. A new coach was not immediately named but whoever is appointed will face a baptism of fire as Venezia plays Napoli, Inter Milan and Como in three of its next four matches. It is the fourth coaching change in Serie A this season after Paolo Vanoli replaced Fabio Grosso at Fiorentina, Raffaele Palladino took over from Domenico Tedesco at Bologna and Alberto Gilardino replaced Carlos Cuesta at Parma.
