Zverev debuts as world number one with Paris Masters exit

Alexander Zverev made his debut as men's world number one with a defeat to Lorenzo Musetti in the second round of the Paris Masters on Wednesday. Zverev was competing for the first time since taking over the number one spot in the ATP rankings from Jannik Sinner. He will still finish the year at the top position. "It's pretty shocking the level I was able to play in front of Sascha, who was serving really well, especially in the first set," Musetti said in his on-court interview.
