Eagles release Dameon Pierce from IR with injury settlement

Dameon Pierce’s short-lived tenure with the Philadelphia Eagles has officially come to an end. After initially placing the veteran running back on injured reserve , Philadelphia has now decided to part ways with him through an injury settlement. According to NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Dave Zangaro, the Eagles reached an injury settlement with Pierce on Friday, officially releasing him from injured reserve and allowing him to become a free agent. “Per the NFL’s transaction wire: The Eagles reached an injury settlement with Dameon Pierce so he’s off IR and is now a free agent,” Zangaro wrote.
