Florida State’s Coaching Shakeup Claims Another Major Name After Mike Norvell’s Exit

The Florida State Seminoles are making changes beyond the head coaching position as a disappointing season prompts an overhaul. Defensive coordinator Tony White has been fired, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. The reported decision adds another significant departure as Florida State attempts to establish a new direction. White joined the Seminoles ahead of the 2025 season after coordinating Nebraska’s defense. His arrival brought expectations that his approach could help restore consistency on that side of the football. Less than two seasons later, his tenure has reportedly reached its end.
