Jason Cundy brands ‘frightened’ Premier League player the biggest waste of money ever

Jason Cundy believes an ‘uncomfortable conversation’ needs to be had regarding Florian Wirtz. The heat is on the Liverpool star following the Reds’ 3-0 loss to Manchester City on Sunday. Wirtz, who was brought off shortly after Ryan Gravenberch’s red card, lost the ball 16 times in the first half and endured a 42nd match in which he failed to register a goal contribution for Liverpool. Given he cost the Reds £116million , which made him the Premier League’s most expensive player until Alexander Isak’s £125m arrival, there are now serious concerns that Wirtz is becoming an expensive mistake.
