Newcastle United continues to monitor young defensive talents across Europe, with another teenage center-back now emerging on the club’s radar ahead of 2027. According to TEAMtalk’s Graeme Bailey , Newcastle is among several Premier League clubs tracking FC Twente defender Ruud Nijstad, alongside Manchester United, Manchester City, Brentford, Aston Villa, Everton and Sunderland. “Sources have confirmed to TEAMtalk that Manchester City, Brentford, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Everton and Sunderland have all checked on Nijstad this season,” Bailey reported. The 18-year-old stands 6-foot-5, is left-footed and made his first-team breakthrough at Twente last season.
